The next conference is set up to take place in Lisbon, supported by Prof M-L Figueira as chairperson. It will be linked to a local Portuguese Psychiatry conference.
The dates will be 26-28 April 2015. This sits almost exactly in the middle between Easter, Greek Easter and APA - it misses all these occasions by 2-3 weeks. EPA is in March.
The organising committee has decided to discuss and consider a Biennial format to future full forum conferences. The current aim is to hold another full forum conference in 2015, then to move to Biennial conferences, with the next one being held in 2017. In between there will be smaller regional workshops/conferences on specific topics which can be proposed by members. Odd years (ie. 2015/17/19...) will avoid clashing with the ISAD, SIRS and ISBD Regional conferences, thereby reducing what is currently a very busy conference calendar.
The committee has also decided to rotate the full forum conference around four cities in Europe in order. These are the following:
These are the venues where the conference has been most successful in achieving a good blend - an exciting programme, good delegate numbers and ease of access for international delegates.
We make every effort to avoid clashes with other conferences, however it is unfortunately sometimes unavoidable. We do move dates sometimes if clashes become apparent, but not within 5-6 months of the conference. Please check the website around this time for final dates.
The first IRPB Regional Conference has been accepted and is set up as follows:
Venue: London, UK
Date: November 2015
Topic: Bipolar Depression
